Re: Fuel Injectors

Hi all, Mine sat for years and would only fire on one cylinder when trying to get it running. I removed the fuel rail, pulled out the injectors and manually broke them free from the dried lacquer fuel residue stuck in them and the put them back in place. The car fired right up. Use Berryman High Mil...

Goblin Works Capri

Hi all, I saw an episode of this show from UK today and they put a 5.0L Coyote in a 1986 2.8L V-6 Capri as an upgrade and did a lot of work to make it fit and run. Cool show and very talented mechanics. It must be fun to have a garage full of metal tools to fabricate what you need during a refresh, ...

Re: Rear Windows

Hi all, Looks like it could be good grease for use in a window motor. JD make good stuff; shame about their attitude for 'right to repair' for their customers... https://www.greenpartstore.com/John-Deere-Special-Purpose-Corn-Head-Gun-Grease-AN102562.html Your mention of mustard is shown here: https:...

Re: Rear Windows

Hi all, When you get into the gearbox on window motors the best solution is to remove all of the grease or as much as you can. Some kinds of grease react to others and make a real mess of things in the system in use. My long term favorite grease has been Ford spec which is like Valvoline grease with...

Re: Battery Relocation

Hi all,

Dodge Chargers have rear batteries as do some of the Cadillac models of recent vintage, from 2005 on or so, IIRC. These surely would be easier to find in a scrap yard.

Just a thought.

Re: Fuse Box Melted

Hi all, Standard make many small parts for fuses, relays, connectors, etc.. for mechanics and relay socket mounts with short output wires are part of that. SMP are the folks who make Blue Streak ignition parts. If OEM is not available, Blue Streak is my next choice. For some Coil on Plug items they ...

A good article about various turbo sizes and issues with boost..

Hi all,

We don't have a 454 but the article, if read all the way through, gives good information about uses of added power making turbos. This is for any of us wanting to dial up the boost or HP in the cars.

Re: t3 rebuild

Hi all, I tried to drop by to visit with the folks at that shop (in the poorly signed or marked back roads of AR) when going on a road trip to MO and they were not there when I arrived. Clearly they are not there every day so if there is a delay in response it is also clear that they really are in b...

Re: Alternate power steering pumps

Hi all, At risk of sounding like a shill I will say Lubegard stuff is good in any category I have tried, whether in power steering, auto transmission or engine oil additives. It quieted the steering pumps on all my Fords and a friends Honda Accord, made the sewing machine sounding cam chains silent ...
