Re: Get Smok'd Food Truck is back for 2024!

Hi all, If you remember Maslan's Hierarchy of Needs then you will recall food and shelter top the list followed by more fun stuff later down the line. Having recently acquired a domicile to allow me to live in my own shelter, my funds are at a low ebb at present. That should rebound over the coming ...

Re: Get Smok'd Food Truck is back for 2024!

Hi all,

Sounds like I missed some good food. Maybe I will come next year. Planned to come some years back but the transmission had other plans at that time.

Re: Where the heck are you guys buying air filters? (stock airbox)

Hi all, In searches in fleabay I only show the part and the car model in the original search. I fill in the specific model year data if requested later on. For air filters I look for Turbo T-Bird or Turbo Cougar or XR4Ti as search info. I don't choose cheap or whatever as I am only trying to see if ...

Re: Stealing cars

Hi all,

They were not seen as crazy fast cars here like a Cosworth Sierra was and by and large were ignored as far as I remember.

YMMV

Re: Long term storage engine start up question

Hi all, I would choose fogging oil of your items mentioned and definitely not use racing oil as your daily use oil. It lacks the additive packages for long term use as it is expected to be changed frequently, like weekly or monthly or even each race day in some cases, not 3 or 5 thousand miles later...

Re: photo of a custom car

Hi all, I tried to look at that car on line from the listing you showed and it is already gone. Someone liked it, it seems. The other listings are for the pseudo Mercedes SSK looking model. I think I prefer the one I found in driving around for its overall looks. I am also certain the Mustang based ...

Re: photo of a custom car

Hi all, A Fiero... No wonder it was a bust! Seriously though, it looks OK and I was wondering if it had a Lincoln LSC or Cadillac chassis, which shows how well extending the chassis disguised the Fiero under there. I must admit I have never heard of them. If anyone wants one send me a PM and I will ...

Re: photo of a custom car

Hi all, The font used for the name was unreadable do to its strange shape from the distance the photo was shot. It was private property and I worry about trespassing when shooting 'as found' shots. The small rectangular badge next to it said LEMMER. Maybe someone has seen one of these? I think the r...

Re: Turbo question

Hi all,

I knew they had gone thorough bankruptcy and am happy to see them still around. It seems they do rebuilds as well. I'll have to do some thinking about this and get it fixed this summer. That is the path of least resistance to have it on the road again.

Thanks for the link.

photo of a custom car

Hi all, One of my hobbies is using black and white film to shoot old cars, ag equipment, buildings, whatever and occasionally I get an interesting shot of something unusual. (Yes, I like the look of film for this, not digital.) In traveling around in MO last week I saw a custom car that I am unable ...

Turbo question

Hi all, What modern version of a T-3 is a straight swap for the OEM T-3in the XR? Mine is in sad shape and needs to be put out to pasture. Ideally I wish to remove the old one and then install the new one as a one time project. I am trying to avoid buying a fleabay special. Any ideas anyone? An upgr...

Re: Questions about the differential horizontal latch

Hi all,

Any major work should be preceded by downloading the shop manual. All becomes clear with good information.

You are trying to find a bolt or you are trying to work on the differential or differential mount? The question confuses me as there is not enough info to make an answer..

Stealing cars

Hi all, I was watching news in Cape Girardeau this morning and some poor woman was moaning about her KIA being stolen. I thought of (andy of columbus) talking about KIA immediately. She put one of those club wheel locks on the car to the pedals up to the steering wheel. The thieves cut off that part...
