Re: steering rag joint?

Esteban sold solid steering rack bushings, not solid rag joints (TMK). Worth a try contacting him. I have memory images of Russ/Rapido re poly rag joint (but memories aren't always confirmed accurate).

Solid rag joints would transmit road noise to the steering wheel (ugh).

Re: steering rag joint?

Ask Jeff Esteban who IIRC sold some earlier. Rapido, too.

I would love to post photos but can't figure out how. When I do I certainly will.

Take screenshots of your photos, then upload them via Attachment and following instruction. Easiest to upload and post only 3 at a time to meet uploading photo size limit (3 MB IIRC).

Re: mini bikes

Screenshot_20250602-172453_Gallery.jpg Came upon this one rainy afternoon on a street I drive on daily. In the fugging street. Imagine encountering that at night. I shared the photo with my County Council's office for forwarding to the appropriate government office for reaction. The pole+backboard ...

Re: A good info video about oil and your engine...

I read the transcript (word for word).

Informative presentation, yes.

He notes more than once that following manufacturers' recommendations for motor oil is good advice.

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator

I've understood your points re the lower Bosch output in specific situations and usages, from the onset of these discussions. Riddle me this, Mr. Electron: Why does one not find such complaints from the Euro-Granada/Scorpio world, with its vastly greater time and mileage experience with Mr. Bosch's ...

Re: Bleeding the Brakes

Re the older method of using a length of vacuum hose from the cylinder bleeder screw into a bottle: I nearly always found that every hose sucked sone air from around the bleeder threads. Sometimes I used a small hose clamp tightened on the hose; even used a zip tie to snug up the hose on the threads...

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator

Voltage is Oomph, Amperage is follow-through. Recalcitrant or even stuck electrical apparatuses might awaken and resume normal operation following a bit more forceful flow of electrons. However, if the higher V set point will/Will kill a battery, please amplify how and over what period that (viz., k...

Damn Brits in these reviews prate on and on and on, well after each point is made clearly enough in 2/3 words: the Jackie Stewart one; this one; every Jeremy Clarkson one on any auto including the Granada.
