Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator
Unfortunately your original response failed to elaborate on how adjusted higher regulator voltage "KILLS" the battery; it needed amplification.brokencase wrote: ↑Fri May 16, 2025 9:46 pm I like "elaborate". Like "Hey Brokencase, Can you please elaborate?" Sounds very professional.

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator
There was nothing to clarify in your terse statement. The conclusion was clear. But the path to it was not obvious. Synonyms for amplify are abundant, each and all describing the reason for requesting uh amplification. https://www.merriam-webster.com/thesaurus/amplify And of the ~50/6070 shown in it...

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator
Thank you for amplifying this.

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator
Please amplify. You are not getting anything by turning up the regulated voltage. In fact you are only doing damage to your battery.

Re: "good" tail lights
I've seen modest heat warping from a running light or brake light that wasn't properly seated in the holder module. But not damage to the extent in your units.
You say the reflector side is okay, but the question may be does missing/warped material result in less illumination.

Re: Proper valve cover installation questions
Agree with Batman; OP is not doing something correctly in installing it. Fitment at/over the arch requires care while lowering the valve cover, but nothing more.

Re: Adjustable Voltage Regulator
Is there a reason to do this? My 3G usually sets me at 13.9-14.1VDC when running. I guess I'm trying to understand the purpose to mess with the regulator. Peeps obsess about upgrading alternator amps capacity; increasing voltage even modestly has a broader real/potential benefit (e.g., spurring win...

I presume our original Bosch alternator is the common 28mm slip-ring type, yes?

Re: Modern Review of the (Granada) Scorpio 4x4
I also just watched that one the other day, so it must have gotten shared somewhere. It's not really a balanced review as they're comparing the top-of-the-line Scorpio to the base model Saab, Mercedes, and BMW. But interesting to watch regardless. The Saab 9000 Turbo was Top of the Saab Line. The M...

Re: Master Cylinder Cap
I too bought one a few years ago.
Definitely makes one-person brake bleeding easier.
It fits on both Scorpio and XR reservoirs.
Scorpio and XR have the same size threaded opening but their fluid level sensors, part of the caps, differ so the caps aren't interchangeable.
