Really sorry to hear that. They were great to do business with.

Stock trans mount

I'm fairly sure I need a new trans mount isolator, the rubber bit that holds the trans to the metal bracket that supports the trans. I didn't see any on MC2, and I didn't see any on Merkur Depot. Waiting for Jeff to get back to me. Looks like Rapido doesn't do any ordering or catalog viewing on the ...

Re: Alignment, rack, or strut issues???

Adjust tire pressures too. YMMV I guess this is the obvious, but yes, also a good idea. Most likely need to remove the winter air and replace with summer air. :haha :haha :haha :haha :haha I think they put low altitude air in the tires at the shop. They sounded funny till I topped em up on friday. ...

Re: Alignment, rack, or strut issues???

If you're having that much trouble with steering the car, I'd seriously stop driving it until you can verify it's safe to drive. (Because all indications say that it's not.) Get it up in the air and get it inspected. I wouldn't call it a huge issue, more of an annoyance. Certainly not gonna drive c...

Re: Cleaning the VAM

Only for the full can of electric parts cleaner that I dropped and lost the little sprayer bit on. It broke off at the base, so I can't even get anything out of the can now

The QD will get used elsewhere.

Interestingly enough, I got no dirt out of the VAM. It was pretty clean.

Alignment, rack, or strut issues???

Back in 2014, early 2015 I replaced all my shocks, struts and springs. Shocks/struts are Koni yellow adjustables, and the springs are from MC2. I can't remember which ones anymore, gotta find receipts, stock height IIRC. All new bushings, the fronts came from MC2, and the rears are orange poly ureth...

Re: Cleaning the VAM

Well my VAM must've been pretty clean, as I noticed no difference after using QD Electronics Cleaner, and Electric Parts Cleaner. I would've sued MAF cleaner on the sensor, but I didn't have any.

Are there any LEDs that fit, and provide proper brightness for daytime use? I saw some at Autozoo today when I was disposing of waste oil, and thought about trying some, but I need to fix other things first.

Re: Fuel pressure gauge

Oh yeah, I'm gonna have to slot the slots for the A pillar retainers(the plastic bits that the screw that hold the A pillar trim in place) so I can slide this down just a bit more. There is a noticeable gap at the dash pad, and the A pillar pod. I can see the wires from the drivers seat.

Fuel pressure gauge

As old as this car is, and the various issues I've had over the years, I've decided to install an electric fuel pressure gauge for diagnostic purposes. I have a 2 gauge A pillar pod, can't remember who I got it from. https://i.postimg.cc/HLG33gz3/20220415-100054.jpg Had to chop one retainer post to ...

Re: XR Vs. Scorpio Front Sub-frame / K-member

You slot the holes in the cross member, weld 2 pieces of flat steel stock to the cross member so the washers have something to push/pull against depending on desired camber. Ive seen it done before, injust havent gotten to doing mine yet, if I need it. I'm at -1.5° on the front right now iirc.

Re: T5 clutch cable adjust

Talked with ghost on sat(hes the P/O of this trans and clutch setup). It seems I may have trimmed a bit too much off the tube on the clutch pedal "box", and my clevis may be too long. Everything did work, however I don't think the install was perfect. Regardless, I need to redo this. The c...
