Re: Fuel Trip Computer build thread

Software running on the PIC 12C508 Microcontroller. Interestingly I just looked up if these were still available and they are. In mid-1999 I paid $1.88 for them from DigiKey. Today they are $1.01 from the same source! [code] ;******************************************************************* ; FUEL...

Fuel Trip Computer build thread

Over the years there have been several requests from Merkur owners looking to install the Euro Fuel trip computer in their XR4. I did this 20 years ago when the availability of parts, and communication sharing channels, was a lot more difficult. Last month the topic again resurfaced on Facebook so I...

Carlisle Ford Nationals Photos

Hi - first of all it was wonderful meeting everyone again at Carlisle. I think we did a good job of keeping safe and respecting guidelines regarding safe social behaviors and it was mentally stimulating to attend Carlisle and have some sort of 'normalcy' to our crazy lives at the moment. Thanks to a...

Ford of Germany Merkur Article

Here's a treat for you. Allen Patch of the UK's XR Owners Club came across this article on the Merkur program from around 1988. It's in German but has some great images.

FS: Merkur parts available in NJ

In my thirty years of Merkur ownership, I have accumulated a proverbial sh*t ton of parts. Like Scott Williams, I am downsizing and all these parts have to go. I am not particularly interested in packing up individual parts and shipping them as I am packing up the whole house and spending some time ...

Re: Hagarty Merkur Article published

The difference is the 'Agreed Value' verses 'Stated Value' policy. Hagerty will ensure the car for whatever you state it is worth and that is what you get in the case of a total loss. No hassles.
