Odd idle miracle

While living in Atlanta I had the high idle issue many of you are all too familiar with. Since relocating to Houston, the problem has disappeared completely - it's been two weeks. Could it have anything to do with baramoteric pressure - could it be the lower altitude and/or higher humidity? :?:

The good news is (I always try to see the light side) you can get a parts car for next to nothing, or just start over entirely for a bit more than nothing. 8)

good luck.

I work at Mac Haik Ford (Beltway/I-10 W). Stop by sometime. Maybe around lunch time? My "real" name is Andre. I've always wanted to sell cars (Fords specifically), so I figured this was the perfect time to try it out. Anyway, I won't try to sell you anything  , but we can compare Mer...

Sounds great. As I get more settled in (find a job, etc) I'll have more time to "play" also. 8)

If Emile reads this, I want to see that XR I almost bought!

Texas Merks

Hey, I'm all moved now. Back home in Houston after a long four year exile in Georgia.

Any Texas Merks want to get together this summer?

My fuel smell turned out to be the crank case vent plumbed into the fender where it collected and then got sucked/blown into the cabin (not so much a fuel smell as a hydrocarbon smell). Took a long time and many unnecessarily replaced parts to find that one.

Lost ticket

I've packed for my move to Houston - and darnit, my Carlisle and dinner ticket are packed (and in Houston, I'm in GA) . Can I buy a Carlisle ticket at the gate? I don't mind paying another $25 or $30, but I need to know if I can get my car onto the field.

I doesn't work that way. Forced induction will not change VE. The volume of air is the EXACT same with or without boost; the only thing that changes is the mass of that volume of air. um, yes it does. It's been a while since I looked at this in depth, but as I understand it, if you fill a 2.3L engi...

My mechanic was able to bribe, coerce, or whatever the NAPA people here to make some bolts (their headquarters and machine shop is just down the street). So all is well now. Thanks to everyone who offered help and advice! :D
