Re: Where the heck are you guys buying air filters? (stock airbox)

Yes but you didn't compare an airbox and the hoses from an intercooled Thunderbird against a small vam car like the XR.

Re: Aligning Differential Mounting Holes

Why can't you just support the car on jackstands then use a floor jack under the rear diff?

Re: Knock Sensors, Again

I have always been told to disconnect the knock sensor when you have an intercooler. Yes I know the intercooled Thunderbird and SVO had a knock sensor, and that the Rapido instructions don't say to disconnect the knock sensor. Those instructions mention moving it to the SVO's location. That seems li...

Depends if you are talking about small vam cars or large vam cars.

Photos look just fine to me, they are just a little smaller than the page is (Version 103.0.5060.132 (Official Build) (64-bit) using a $100 chromebook.

Re: Intercooler install advice please

I have complete kit; sure looks like good engineering I was just looking for potential tips or lesson learned. Regards I believe Russ did the engineering and had Sparco make the intercooler to his specs. Looking at pictures it seems there is an early and a late version of the complete kit. If you s...

Re: Long term storage engine start up question

Sometimes on something that was sitting awhile (years and years) I will pull the plug(s) and spray some WD-40 in there. Let it sit a few minutes then crank or pull the cord a few times. That lubricates things and also displaces moisture. Unless you think the engine is locked up I don't see why you w...

Re: Turbo question

From Google https://www.garrettmotion.com/turbo-replacement/garrett-peace-of-mind/ Not sure if you can get something brand new from garrett/honeywell. If you can it would be expensive. You could then compare that price against any options the vendors here have. You could possibly replace just the ce...

Re: Hoses on either end of Fuel Filter

Ford may have been concerned that a mechanic would damage the nylon line when going after that banjo bolt. So they put something extra on that one side. They were still thinking about what happened to the poor feller who designed the fuel setup on the Pinto. They didn't want that to happen to them. ...

Re: Hoses on either end of Fuel Filter

Ya but that plastic hose is pressed on hot, then cools down to get a tight seal no clamp needed. Also it only has that weird extra hose piece on the one end. The real reason has more to do with the 15 Germans in one room trying to agree on a simple inline fuel filter. It's amazing they were even abl...

If it doesn't even run I would be putting the AC very far down on the to do list.
