Well all my stuff was removed long ago by previous owners anyway. I remember talking to a mechanic about running an AC system to cool an intercooler. That's correct Ed. The brown wire grounds the blower motor.

I was looking for a new option for both of my XR's. The blower motor was only working on high speed. I found that the 91-2003 ford escort/mercury tracer blower motor resistor is cheap and readily available as an option. The escort resistor is a 4 speed control vs the merkur being a 3 speed.
