Re: Harbor Freight Tire Changer Upgrades

That duck kit on temu.com is $47.59. I'm thinking I should get one before Trump terminates of the de minimus exclusion. https://www.temu.com/-version--tire-changer--adapter-kit-with-silver-cone-for-most-car-tires-not-hf-tire--g-601099933573333.html The video shown sure makes it look easy to use. The...

Re: 88 Scorpio

Ed is right. I thought mine were fine by listening to the motors but it turned out my driver side flap was twisted and jammed. It is easy to pull the vents/bezel to check. 5 minute job. Even if not broken, the flaps do not work very well and obstruct flow through the ducts even when open. In additio...

Re: Teves brake system problems

Speaking of Teves... I got a really good book for Xmas. I highly recommend this book. https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Horsepower-Race-Western-Development/dp/1911658506 I had been watching Calum's videos on youtube and I mentioned them to my brother and he bought me the book. Anyhow - Calum is a former...

Sure it does, Jackie Stuart said so:

Although I admit he really has to work a bit to get the Scottish cops to agree with him.

Re: 88 Scorpio

"You can call it a guibo, but to be correct it is a giubo." No, both forms are correct (as my google investigation demonstrates) and in our neck of the woods "guibo" is the more accepted and dominant version (as my IMON archive search demonstrates). The fact that Google AI search...

Re: 88 Scorpio

Ed, you can tell everybody the proper English spelling is "colour". But nobody gives a dang.

Re: 88 Scorpio

If I punch "guibo" into google, and it responds with the proper description (and does not correct my spelling BTW), then it it good enough for me...and probably good enough for everyone else...except Ed. FWIW - A text search for "guibo" through all the old IMON email listings bri...

Re: 88 Scorpio

Two things to replace; each likely original equipped items on ymthis Scorpio: -- transmission mount -- giubo/flex joint Each typically needs replacement after ~75K miles. My first Scorpio had a bad trans mount @ 80K miles. It seemed like there was a previous oil leak that softened the mount and it ...

Re: 88 Scorpio

The new universal pump kits come with filter screens. In some cases multiple screens of different geometry. I would not re-use the old screens. There is not much particulate crud, but if there is a break in the screen (as shown in more than one place in the previous photos) then who knows what was s...
