Re: Now available - the Search-able IMON archives

Just a update/non-update to this thread... As you probably realize, due to some technology issues, the search engine for the "old" IMON list has been off-line for quite awhile now. We do still have all the old data and hope to develop a new means to do key-word searches, but there is no ti...

New Hotel for 2022 (kinda, sorta)

The Carlisle Ford Nationals will fall on June 3-5, 2022, so get the date on your calendar now. As many of you may realize, the Radisson Camp Hill property was sold last year, and while that initially raised some concerns about our return for 2022, those concerns are no more. Under the new ownership,...

Factory Service Manuals PDF On-line

I'm pretty sure that all the FSM and EVTM's have been digitized and are "available" as PDF. But are they out there on the 'net somewhere? I'm thinking at this point we don't need to worry about copyright protection. If that is a correct statement (Is it?), I'd look into having us host them...

Re: thermal limiting fuse

Radio Shack I remember those. Yea, I was gonna say, it's like a time machine re-visiting some of these old threads. I was actually surprised that Radio Shack managed to limp along as long as they did. Any time I went in to one, I was the only one in the store and typically my purchase amounted to $...

Re: Rit dye for carpet

I would second the vote to use something specifically meant for automotive use. I've heard of people successfully using SEM Color Coat. https://www.semproducts.com/product/color-coattm-aerosols/aerosols#product-details Just doing a quick read on it now I'm surprised that it's also used for re-colori...

Re: Scorpio Trailer Hitch

I once had a Euro hitch that was rated for 5000lbs. I never got it installed onto any of my Scorpios before I got rid of them. Mostly because the ball part was not quick removable. I sold it to another Scorpio owner several years ago. I'll see if a still have pics of it. I know that hitch. I once o...

Re: Scorpio Trailer Hitch

I would also mostly want it for a bike rack. I've got a couple donor hitches that I've picked up for short or zero money that I could hack as needed. I've also got a parts car that I could raid for parts and/or use as a mock-up vehicle. I mostly posted this as the idea of removing the factory bumper...

XR Vs. Scorpio Front Hubs

I found this pic while eBay surfing - it's a NOS Sierra front hub, nicely labeled with diameter dimensions. I was hoping it might be a Cosworth hub, but no luck. FordSierraHub-Dims.jpg The comparable dimensions for a Scorpio or Cosworth front hub are: Threaded axle: 27mm Axle: 38mm Bearing carrier: ...

Scorpio Trailer Hitch

Picked these pics up on the Granada Facebook page. I think it was a commercially sold "towbar" in Europe. Figured it was worth archiving here in case anyone wants to replicate the basic design for a conventional USA receiver hitch. For lightweight use, you could even skip the brace that go...

Re: Ford Tempo Front Springs

Brad - While replacing my CV axle I noticed that there is a rubber spacer like above already on the top side of the springs of my Scorpio. They look factory. Yes, the stepped rubber insulator on top is factory. While I was looking around for solutions I found that the Camaro uses a similar insulato...
