New Springs and Struts

Got new (good used) front springs and struts for my XR but I'm not sure how far or tight I need to get the nut that holds the assembly together. The Chilton manual gives the torque specs for the upper nut but doesn't say anything about the lower one.

Re: Missing bolt

Started guessing and figured it out. I believe it was a 10x90mm

Missing bolt

I messed up. Can anyone tell me what the long bolt/capscrew that holds the starter bracket to the engine block is? I seem to have misplaced mine after cutting it to get my ratchet wrench off of it. To anyone that reads this in the future, don't use an unswitchable ratchet wrench on this bolt. You wo...

Re: T9 Parts?

So, after further inspection, my mechanic now believes we should definitely do a swap, I guess metal is everywhere inside the case. I am definitely hoping to do the T5 swap if I can find one, but I was curious if anyone has tried the Quaife six speed option from Burton Power? If I can't find a junky...

Re: T9 Parts?

Thanks guys, I'm still looking, BAT is out and cannot get more, I emailed TeamBlitz but haven't gotten a reply. Rapido Group sounds confident they can get me what I need, just trying to find out which model T9 I have. Burton Power definitely has options, but they seem really expensive, hoping I don'...

T9 Parts?

My xr's transmission was making a lot of noise anytime the car was moving. I took it up to a local shop in town for them to disassemble and diagnose. The call back informed me that the countershaft bearings and the rod that runs through the countershaft are obliterated. The real bad news is that nei...

Stereo Install

I'm sure this has been asked but I couldn't find it.

Is there a dash kit for an aftermarket stereo?
Would prefer that it removed the balance knob and cassette holders as well but anything would be great.

I did find the wiring harness adapter at crutchfield.com
