Re: Failed Boost Controller + Throttle Body Annoyances

those gaskets dont have to be old to go out. especially the fel pro ones, especially if the surfaces are not flat. Those bolts can slack off, Ive had even stover nuts slack off slightly. If you're sure its a vaccume problem, you can test by spraying a can of brake cleaner around all the vaccume line...

Re: Failed Boost Controller + Throttle Body Annoyances

it sounds like you have a bad turbo flange gasket or maybe the bolts have slacked off a bit.
Possibly a cracked manifold or something too, but the whistle sure sounds like boost is pushing itsself out somewhere.

Re: Front suspension metallic click noise over bumps

FINALLY found the problem. Looks like it has something to do with either the pad sitting loose in the bracket, I remember filing those pads a bit to fit them in. Or the infamous Rattle Clip, which I removed, cleaned up, rebent a little bit, and reinstalled. Thanks for the help. Cant wait to do my fr...

Re: Front suspension metallic click noise over bumps

i thought you had the answer in the other thread about when you said to drill out the bottom shock bolt for the cosworth coilovers, OEM is an M8, and the cosworth uses an M12, I thought maybe that was it. Anyway I did it and no change. I found a loose brake line in the front, was missing its clip, n...

Re: Front suspension metallic click noise over bumps

So i definitely have the right top mount set up.
The bushings are all new.

Im wondering if its not suspension related. Like something I cant think of that could cause a rattle.

Hey guys. I have been having for as long as I can remember a metallic clicking sound when going over bumps. It is really weird. I feel like it is only coming from the driver side, but it might be coming from both sides. Basically everything is new. I went wild with a torque wrench and touched everyt...

Re: MC2 Torsen Kit install

i brought mine 1 step futher and had them machined UP to bypass the need for that shim tape. https://image.ibb.co/nG2cZF/34.jpg but because the diff isnt centered perfectly in the housing, turns out I had to trim it back down about 1/4" on 1 side. https://image.ibb.co/eCOZEF/35.jpg its not real...

Re: DO Ford Sierra Shocks and Coilovers Fit XR4TI?

Matt is right. Using Sierra 2WD front suspension will allow you to lower the car more or give you more suspension travel. The rears wont fit unless you drill out the bottom mounting hole out a little which is perfectly fine too. the 4WD stuff wont work i think i didnt have to drill out anything on ...

Re: DO Ford Sierra Shocks and Coilovers Fit XR4TI?

actually yes they do! the front strut tube is physically shorter, however since they're coilovers they are height adjustable anyway so you can just turn up the adjuster to compensate. Have them on my car, work fantastic. Plus if ever you decided to swap to cosworth spindles you'll already have the c...
