I might cast a vote for the FPR as well, I also had a similar failure but it was more catastrophic. I suppose it could develope a small leak at first though. As a precaution especially with a car of this age you might want to look at replacing it, while your at it go adjustable too.

I just helped my buddy do a clutch in my old xr the other day and we went to sears and picked up a 13mm socket with the universal built in to get at the top two tranny bolts. only $9 for the 13mm swivel, better than all that nuckle busting and will come in handy later.

Ive been attending carlisle since '98 but have only stayed at the MERKUR hotel for the past two. I would urge anyone planning the trip to stay at the hotel if possible. The parking lot conversations and crew are the best. Although the parking lot at the hotel this year could have used a bit more lig...

JB, Yes they should be able to. Just remember the elbow that bob uses is stainless so appropriate wire should be used. Before i put mine on i tried to weld a bead on it(MIG) just in case i decided to go with the flange later. It welded fine with the wire i had; i forget the content at the moment.

Actually egdetech, I did use one of those wide stainless clamps, aka truck exhaust clamp. But i had to torque the hell out of it because the top surface is just starting to get into the curved section of the elbow. its not too bad overall but i wouldnt mind having it seal a little better. I made the...

I'm thinking of putting some kind of flange on the bob outlet myself, maybe a 3 inch header flange. right now my downpipe is opened up at the end to slide over the outlet and i have a band type clamp on there. The main problem is there isnt much of a straight section on the elbow and the clamp is ha...

I saw that pic a while back. Its a ford sierra with a sapphire front clip installed. I think it looks pretty good. Which brings up : Does anyone know if this would be a simple swap(aside from drilling/replacing the fenders) or would there be modifications to be done on the rad. support etc. here's t...

You should explain how you checked the timing. Generally you use the #1 plug wire for the pick up signal to the timing light. This might help clarify things.

If your relay is bad Dont go to ford. There are pleanty of places out there to get a standard bosch style relay. They are usually in the range of 2-3 bucks from electronics suppliers. Most car stereo installers will have a few of them on hand.

It is possible for the contacts in the relay to arc and get stuck closed. Test for voltage on the coil pins of the relay. If there is 12Vdc present between the two coil pins of the relay look at/test the switch. If there is not 12Vdc present between the two coil pins, its possible you have a bad rel...

Yes rapido sells that one. But there was a euro grille which had a quad headlight set up, I believe it was made by Hella. There is one guy on this list who purchased one from germany on ebay. I am really interested to see a pic of this one, maybe shaggyZ will post a few when he gets it installed. He...
