You're one of only 2958... that's right in there with your Scorpio rarity. Bet it drives and handles a lot better than that sorry Volt platform though, with all the upgrades they made to it with stiffer frame, bigger brakes, steering, etc..

Yeah, I've driven Volts. It's a lot better. At 2X the price, it should be.
The "R" means roadster... the back seat is, as they used to say about the XJS, "suitable for dog or parcel".
OTOH, the Scorpio has a very fine back seat. Everyone that's been back there has been quite pleased with it.
All three cars went to various car shows this past weekend.
Rinse and repeat this upcoming weekend.

Yep, everyone who's been in the rear seat of my Scorpio is surprised how comfortable and roomy they are, and that they fold down. Don't know if its actually the case, like the XR's seats, but I tell them they were made/designed by Recaro. When I show them the recliner, they almost always settle in like its a Lazy Boy, and ask "What year is this car?"

Always looking for a '85 Merkur XR4TI (blue preferably) for my dad
Did very many people know what it was? Or think it was "some sort of Mustang"?
I went to a big show in Galena, IL. Hundreds of people there, four had ever seen a Scorpio.
One of them said he had seen one in Europe.
I think I'm going to a show tomorrow in Middle Of Nowhere, IA.
Places like that are where these are alien craft.

There were probably 5 that actually knew what it was. Close to 25 were confused because they thought it was a mustang. Had a good crowd around it most of the time.
