Re: Car Show Season
Great Pics! Both are looking nice, esp. the Scorpio.
Next to the Chevelle, amazing how much more performance, technology and handling went into the much smaller, lighter XR4Ti package. Esp. compared to the 20 year older Chevelle, which could mostly boast only about grunt, vinyl bench seats and a fairly good sized trunk.

Gonna try to get more co-pilots next year so I can get more like this.

Re: Car Show Season
I pity car show only guys.
Damn near every single day while driving any of my Merkur fleet each gets positive looks, thumbs ups, deep questions about them (history, specs, positive memories, more...) while parked, and often also photos taken.
Today driving on an urban three lane 35 MPH limit city street a driver paced me from behind then side-by-side then slightly ahead to take photos of my '89 Black Scorpio.
I love it. Wish I could drive all four of my Merkurs at the same time.
YMMV

Well, my DD is a 2015 Cadillac XTS Platinum, so don't feel too sorry for me.Ed Lijewski wrote: ↑Wed Oct 20, 2021 3:37 pm I pity car show only guys.

It and the XR were in a birthday cruise last year and got all sorts of thumbs up, more than the XR. I didn't even know it had fans!
My eventual goal is to drive "show cars" 100% of the time.
The candidates for Show Car #3 are both rare modern Cadillacs... a 2016 Cadillac ELR (523 built) or a 2020 CT6-V (1400 built).
Both can be driven year round even in the not-so-nice weather we have here.
I'll decide how much I want to blow on it later. Candidate #2 in particular will rather pricey.
They'll work almost all of the time, too. If they don't, my Cadillac dealer gives loaners. Doesn't matter how old it is.
OTOH, Merkur dealer, he doesn't give loaners. What a bum!
