Most excellent, I can finally add this to my shopping list! For those of us with automatics, is there a transmission cooler you can recommend?

Just grab the largest trans cooler "kit" thats on the shelf at your local parts store and you'll be good to go.

Do you want to keep A/C? If so, the Cossie 2wd IC is a great choice. If you want to mod or lose A/C, you could look into the Cossie 4x4, Porsche 944, Isuzu big or small NPR, RS500, etc.

You can keep A/C with the larger, on-top-of-the-rad IC's like the 4WD Cossie or Porsche 944T, but that will necessitate an aftermarket condenser-- which will be more efficient anyway.

i would like to keep my A/C. the xr will be my daily. i want to set it up so its updated to a new standard.

those choices sound like it will need a custom fab to mount. is this correct?

Depends what you consider custom. The Cossie pieces are pretty much bolt in, but will require mounting them (should be simple brackets) and the piping/BPV.

No serious modifications to the chassis, but I don't think you'll find a bolt-in kit that includes the radiator, IC, piping, couplers/tbolts and BPV with plumbing. It will take a bit of work to get it all done.

Rad bolts in, Cosworth 2wd IC bolts in.
Thats where the "bolting in" stops. :)

will the shorty and the Cosworth 2wd IC fit with eachother?

i also noticed that you sell an IC hose kit, but it only goes from the turbo to the IC. im looking to get the 90degree rotated intake you guys have and will obviously need the hosing for that to the IC. you sell that set up as well?

All in all from Merkur Depot, im looking to buy a Radiator/IC/Rotated intake/Hosing/Disk Brake conversion, and thats about it for now

2wd Cosworth IC will bolt in perfectly with a shorty radiator.

FYI there is another IC is the classifieds on here that is a modified version of the IC that came with the combos back in the day:

That one would also fit the space well. (although, the 2wd Cosworth one is a better unit)

We don't sell the "cold side" IC pipes as so many different intakes and thottlebody variations out there.

That is just a 2.5" diameter 90° piece of pipe with one of our "T" hoses on it and BOV at the throttlebody side. Intercooler side is a 90° hose connecting to that pipe. The 90° hose and 90° pipe make a short "S" shape and thats about all it takes to replicate. I have the "T" hoses in stock, just recieved more black BOV too. No 90° pipes or hoses, though. Check out www.siliconeintakes.com for that stuff.

Yes, I just got in some really nice fully adjustable bypass valves. They attach with a v-band clamp and come with the clamp. Also included is a flanged weld on tube to attach to the intercooler piping.
