WTB - Scorpio Metric Ambient Temperature / Clock Display
Hello All,
The overhead console display in my Scorpio is not functioning at all. I have a spare Fahrenheit version that I haven't installed as yet but would prefer a Celsius display.
Please let me know if you have one and the price?

Believe all have ability to read in F or C depending on a selection done.

Re: WTB - Scorpio Metric Ambient Temperature / Clock Display
Hello Jeff,
Thanks for the reply and apologies for the delay. Hope your Christmas and New Years were good ones.
I have checked closely and have not found any provision for Celsius values for the ambient temperature display. The Owners Manual doesn't mention it and the display housing has F printed on it. I also have a spare but defective display (burnt transistor), that doesn't appear to have any sort of switch or jumper to choose the scale. This leads me to believe that the Celsius version would have had a C printed on the housing. Pity they didn't add a simple switch like the Trip Computer.
If you know of a workaround, please let me know.

Maybe early 88 didnt have optional F / C switching feature on the overhead panel. The later years did.

Hello Jeff,
All the consoles I have seen did not have a F / C switch. In fact these housings have a F printed on them, meaning use of the 'European' console for the Canadian market. Must say it surprises me, a simple F/C switch with a 'thermometer' symbol on the housing would have been an easy 'universal' solution. Engineers don't always make the best decisions.

Hello All,
Just a quick note to say that I have acquired a 'metric' temp/clock display via a fellow Canadian (Steve, aka asifahmed). Thank you Steve!!!
If anyone has a defective temp/clock display, please let me know. I have a temp/clock display with a defective transistor that I can repair, run some tests and then order some spare transistors. Might be able to make at least two 'F' versions available in the near future.
