It looks like a late 88, with 150mph speedo. Someone must have put the rear hatch from a 86 or 87. And the dash looks good which is a plus.

Thanks guys! I'm hopeful that I win it. I will be searching for some cossie wheel arches to complete the look...but I shouldn't put the cart before the horse. Fingers crossed.

Other than the easily recified amp install and that tailpipe...
Looks real good.

Speakers in the trunk cover is just wrong. That cover jumps and dances just of it's own weight over tar strips; the weight of the speakers makes that reaction worse. Some may reason the tradeoff is worth it; most can't tolerate that predictable irritation. That mod would make me question other work done by the owner.

YMMV

Well, the new owner will find out about the quality of the work done by the previous one. Not me though. I got outbid. The search continues.

Well you said you wanted a manual anyway right? I passed up 2 or 3 XRs that already had a t5 swap done. So if you wait long enough something better will pop up.

Agreed, although most people also probably wonder just who Jim Rome is. :)

Yes you are correct. I am looking for a manual, but it looked like a nice example so I thought that if I could get it at a decent price I would compromise. When the price crossed 4k, I was out.

This has sold! The nose pieces are FG. Better than some of yesteryear. Grill fitment is spot on
