Your rebuttal points re the deicing mod miss the relevance of the mod: it's not to improve hot interior comfort on hot day cool-down performance, but to improve sustainable interior cooling center vent temps afterwards while running the blower on EATC Auto Low speed. The article notes, correctly IME, that without the mod, running the blower on high to achieve cabin cooling comfort is bothersome on trips of more than a few minutes. Even for heating, the high blower setting for a sustained period, in any vehicle, isn't comfortable to driver or passenger.

So both the fan on with compressor on and the deicing switch mod play relevant roles.

I''ll agree to that. Running the fan on Hi is irritating on the Scorpio.
