Two stroke oil is the one case where I think synthetic is always better. Burns cleaner.. and I think I have used Supertech oil for this.
My usage of two stroke yard equipment is sparse at this point. I have an old Echo trimmer outfitted with an edging attachment that I use maybe 2-3 times a year. It is the best edging solution I have ever come across.
I have a two stroke chainsaw, but I find that I can manage most work with electric chainsaws of which I have several, both corded and cordless.
My main trimmer is an unbranded Ryobi four stroke that I picked up at Harbor Freight about 15 years ago. It has been unbelievably long lived and reliable.
I am pretty care free regarding the oil I put in the four stroke yard equipment. I'll often just buy unopened quarts at garage sales or flea markets that folks are selling for a dollar or less. But everything gets an oil change in the spring.

I've been using Super Tech Full Synthetic for years in all my cars. Scorpio, XR, Sable, MB e320, Saab 9-3, Subaru, 2 Chrysler vans and a few I've forgotten. All with 100k+ miles. But I use the best WIX oil filters!

I also use Super Tech, so I recommend it too!Ed Lijewski wrote: ↑Thu May 19, 2022 4:42 pm Walmart Super Tech product details here:

I have no/NO qualms about using Super Tech.
YMMV
