The automatic car has a different cam, with less lift and duration than the manual equipped car.

If a customer is in the dealership and does not like the Lincoln models enough to buy one, show him the XR4Ti.
(I am paraphrasing from memory the marketing and sales material brochure for sales staff I read in a dealer showroom in Dallas.)
They had no clue why I bought the car, as stated to me by the sales manager at a later date.
