Hi all,

My '86 in a July '86 date of manufacture. Is that the narrow or later model? I have wondered about this for years and have decided to see if anyone has the changeover date? It isn't critical but a point of curiosity.

Thanks for info if anyone knows.

Cheers

From what I've seen there's not a solid date on the change-over to the wide-tunnel pans - it's a "mid '86 model year" sort of thing, with no definitive date for the switch-over. That said, July '86 is a very late-build 1986, so yours would almost certainly be a wide-tunnel.

My '86 has a build date of 7/86 and the trans crossmember is 15 1/2 " from bolt to bolt.

Hey Chaz, do you still need size measurement for narrow crossmember? I can dig mine out of the attic and measure.
