Lots of talk about brakes. I've been doing them for a few years now with very good success with the Focus "conversion" mounting kits I've supplied. Recently I've found a much more friendly, bolt-in solution for some racing brakes. I've scoured the Wilwood racing catalog, mainly looking for some sort of mount to fit the far more desireable and capable Superlite calipers with a common 11.75" or 12.19" circle track rotor. Finally found it with a 90mm spacing and 10mm threaded holes. I originally cut spacers with some 7/8" dia 6061 Bar Stock and painstakingly cut them to the exact height needed, but even then I found some spacers recently that will work, along with some Wilwood supplied Shims. The total cost, retail is around $1300. I'm sure you can find parts cheaper, this is just a figure based on Summit Racing.
I am still a fan of utilizing Wilwood's 3.5" radial mount and throwing it on my mill to offset plunge the 12mm end mill to 90mm spacing. This does require one to tap the brake mounting holes in the spindle to M12x1.75. This is really the only option to get the brakes on the Scorpio due to the difference in offset vs the XR, plus the 5-lug part.
There is also the possibility of utilizing the brackets from the newer Focus kit with a pair of spacers, just like the ones I supply for people running ST or RS brakes. Then a 12.88 or 14.25" set of brakes can be run in the front.
Anyway, I digress, here's the scoop.
XR w/ .64 Hat Part # Cost Ea Qty Total
Calipers 120-13235/6 $257.72 2 $515.44
Pads 150-8854K $76.50 1 $76.50
Rotors 160-2894/5 $74.29 2 $148.58
Hats 170-11902 x 2 $131.88 2 $263.76
Rings 300-11901 x 2 $13.82 2 $27.64
brackets 250-12774 x 2 $63.82 2 $127.64
Spacers 300-7352 $3.82 4 $15.28
bracket shims 240-6267 x 12 $1.99 12 $23.88
Hoses / Fittings me $90.00 1 $90.00
Hardware me $20.00 1 $20.00
Hoses and fittings allow a nice SS coated DOT line and a brass 1.8NPT to M10x1 DIN adapter to be used. The hardware will be the rotor bolts, caliper allen head cap screws, washers, caliper shims (I have a lot) and bracket mounting bolts.
The only "trick" is mounting the bracket. The bolts go in from the outside and the bracket gets mounted behind with 2-3 of the bracket shims between the bracket and the spindle. The bracket is mounted behind the spindle towards the strut. The caliper will need the caliper spacers and 3-4 caliper shims to get the radial spacing set correctly. See Wilwood's site for torque specs.

Is this for the Scorpio or the XR?
Either way, great job figuring this combination out!

Re: DIY Wilwood Superlite 12.19" Racing Brake kit
Um...it's in the XR section. The Scorpio has thinner ears and a different offset, so it would create the requirement for a lot of spacers. I would end up using the Universal Brackets and modify like I've done before. It's more work, but a cleaner install.
