T5 Clutch Fork

Post by victory01 »

Needing some help here everyone.

I am nearly done restoring and fully building my XR. Full engine build, new suspension, the works.

The T5 transmission and bell housing I purchased did not come with the clutch fork so I need one.

Do any of you have one or point me in the right direction?

Aside from the Bilstein rear shocks this is the last thing holding me up from putting this all back together.

Pictures to come.

Which bell? Assuming it's the typical bell-crank bell used on Mustangs from '87 - '93, the part# you want is E6ZR-7515-BA.

I'm pretty sure Ford has discontinued this part, but maybe the aftermarket has picked up production on it? Dunno. Be careful of anyone indicating that the same fork is used for the 5.0 and 2.3 as that is not true.

I purchased an SVO Mustang T5.

Will the part number you stated work? I believe that's what's implied.

Yes, E6ZR-7515-BA is correct. BUT, I've heard of people getting the V8 fork when they order this part# because it's incorrectly listed as being the same. For example, order this and you'll get a V8 fork... https://www.neperformancemustang.com/ca ... ts_id=2607

I vaguely recall that a Jeep fork and T/O bearing can be used. Might be detailed on the TurboFord forum.

Very little luck in finding a clutch fork.

Looks like i'll be taking on a project but I think it will work even better.

Combine that with McLoyd https://www.mcleodracing.com/conversion-kits--ford/p89

This all should work better than new. Tough part is drilling the hole in the firewall and attaching it to the clutch pedal.

All for around $650.00. I know you're thinking you purchased the whole car for this amount but I'm building a very expensive Merkur. Full performance build.

These folks have this listed as a clutch fork for the SVO, but I can't confirm it actually is.

The D9... part# would suggest it's not for a T5, given that the T5 didn't yet exist in 1979.

Wow, I must be asleep at the wheel. The D9 slipped right past me as I'm so used to seeing all the D8 and D9 stampings on the T9 forks.

A matched set for 2.3 T5... the bell, fork, dog bone cable, clevis, dust boot cover.
