XR at the Ultimate Track Car Challange, this weekend

Post by PDenbigh »

Hey all,

Just a quick note that I'll be representing the XR world at the 2012 Grassroots Motorsports Ultimate Track Car Challenge this weekend at Virginia International Raceway in Danville, VA.

Event info here: https://grassrootsmotorsports.com/events/UTCC12/

I am not going there with the hopes of winning, but to have a good time and lay down some laps with some really cool cars.

If the car holds together, I'll also be doing Time Trial on Saturday. Might even sneak out for some HPDE sessions if someone wants a ride.

If you're in the area feel free to swing by!

Here's some video from the last event it did at Summit Point: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Pm__uFtM ... ture=g-upl

Cheers,
Peter

You're car is fast! Is it still on the 2.3?

JB - thanks! It's a fun, love/hate project.

Esteban, thanks. Yep, still on the 2.3. It's been an interesting road managing the heat more than anything. It's one thing for it to run for 3 pulls on the dyno, but when I take it to the track and run full throttle for 30+ minutes, a whole new set of challenges appeared.

Well if that doesn't put the whole thing in a nutshell, nothing does!

Despite being so close...I've entered the hate part of this relationship and am left with too many things left to do and not enough time or energy. As such, unfortunately, I will not be participating at this event this year after all. Bummer.

I will, however, be at VIR and Summit Point throughout the rest of the season, so hopefully some of us can share track time later!

Best,
Peter
