WHOA, totally missed this...You have to use a FI pump to feed the HPFP!!!! The pump on the engine takes the ~50+psi and boost to over 1000psi for the DI. The in-tank pump will not properly feed the DI pump at low pressure. It must use FI level of pressure to feed properly.

Also, any update? I know I have no room to talk with my Dtec build, but always enjoy prodding others.

This seems to be the car, as the photos in one of the videos are the same as those in this thread. https://www.youtube.com/channel/UCCAEk8 ... kwNoE1SSTQ

Agreed, it would be good to have some update.
A bit of good info, but still a lot of questions.

Here's another video where he has a parts list showing what parts were used:
https://youtu.be/3jeAkWazdCw

One of the notable things used from the 2.3 Ecoboost Mustang is the motor mount brackets, p/n FR3Z6028A and FR3Z6031A, along with 2002-08 Ford Falcon 4.0 engine mounts. No mention of modifications required, if any.

From the 2001-11 Duratec 2.3 Ranger, the following is used:
Oil pan
Dipstick
Dipstick tube
Oil pickup

Lastly, the brutally expensive ($1300) Quicktime RM8090 bell was used to mate up the T-5.

Wow $10,000 in parts. Yes brutally expensive.

I believe that list is only a portion of the items necessary to do the entire swap.
Last year when I was looking into doing this, I used this project as a reference.

The quicktime bell at $1300 is expensive yes, but not really insane considering I am thinking to fabricate my own bellhousing.
Time is money, and it would take a lot of time and materials to make my own, in hopes that it will work.
I've got access to a laser/water jet, friends who can design the parts in CAD and print the stuff out, but still, it needs to be perfect.

He says in the comments section that most of the 10k was the cost of the engine and engine control pack. So if you could adapt the transmission yourself and use the junkyard engine plus wiring harness and ecm you'd be able to do it for a lot less.

You replied to your own comment (and said pretty much what I would have), before I could! So yea, it's a $10K project if you buy new parts from Ford. It can be done WAY less expensively if you are "junkyard resourceful".

BTW, if you want to use a factory PCM, there's a guy on eBay that does PATS removal for $100. You send him your PCM, $100 later he returns it with PATS coded out.

Compared to making your own "one off" bell, yes, $1300 is cheap. But note in the "2.5 Duratec Swap" thread that there may be alternatives. One guy spoke of a T9 to T5 adapter that is used with the Retroford T9 bell. Alternatively, Retrofords is seriously considering adding a Duratec to T5 bell to their product-line.

I think I have seen you mention this before somewhere...
If you have any influence on providing them suggestions, push again.
It would definitely help sway me to actually start hunting for the parts again since I passed on the idea earlier this year.
