USA riders on the trek supercailber
Over 50 athletes in Tokyo with this paint scheme on their bikes. They look pretty cool.

They said on some news website that all the riders got that paint scheme, but I guess not. The track bike Jennifer Valente road looked flat black, so I'm guessing it was naked CF. Here's my newest bike (happens to be gloss black) which cost me less than my 89XR but more than my 86XR.

I recon that is a Specialized hardtail carbon frame? Pretty pricey I'll bet. Looks like you have some decent trails to go on as well.
I did acquire a mountain bike recently. Neighbor was throwing away an aluminum frame hardtail bike
I converted it to electric with a rear hub motor. My sister in law, who is not a serious bike rider, really enjoyed it.
So much so that my brother acquired a Trek Hybrid and I converted that to electric for her using a Tongsheng TSDZ2
mid drive motor with the 850C display.

Let me tell you, if you ever want to convert a bike to electric that Tongsheng kit is the way to go. It is a real nice unit.
Light weight, easy to install, get to keep your original wheels, etc..

Re: USA riders on the trek supercailber
It's not the super pricey carbon fiber S-Works, it's aluminum. A crave 29'r similar to the older Stumpjumper. No plans to do anything to it. All I did was ditch the pedals for some platforms I already had. And some weight reduction.
208 grams (new bike shop tubes) need to get another
225 grams (original tubes) patched one as backup
257 grams (Walmart tube) on bike need to ditch this pos
64 grams extra seatpost cut off
16 grams water bottle bolts
50 grams wheel reflectors
72 grams front and rear reflectors
May go tubeless someday and ditch the Specialized tires for Continental Super Sonic Pro. Maybe some Raceface cranks but that's about it.

Re: USA riders on the trek supercailber
My 2008 Scott is my normal riding bike. It's pretty light.
A couple of years ago I bought some Asia made carbon rims off of ebay. I got them for a really good price. As I recall ebay sent me a 15% off of anything discount code. So I got the rims for around $300. I'm really impressed with them. They definitely take the edge off of long rides and hill climbing. I think it knocked off about 500 grams. I was worried that the caliper brake surface on them would wear quickly but this is not the case.

Re: USA riders on the trek supercailber
BTW Andy, The custom aluminum track frame with the Shimano 7 speed rear geared hub is up for sale.
It breaks my heart to part with it. I laced the rear rim myself. I have ridden this bike from Warminster, PA to the Jersey shore. Just over 70 miles.
I have also ridden it on many club rides.
The bike was inspired by my...how shall we say "retro modern" impression of the the Wright brother's St. Clair bike...

My hope was to make some 700C wooden rims, but I never got there. I got close, I built the circular form to mount the wood router to cut the rims.
$425 + shipping and it is yours.
It comes with the extra drop bars in the photo. But is presently configured with the old school track drop bars.
It is based on a Dawes aluminum track frame with carbon fork. 54cm.
Saddle is a custom "swallow cut" Brooks B18.
If you want more details let me know.
