At least with that you would be ok if it stops working correctly. You just get worse gas mileage. The electric versions that are known to fail are just plain stupid. I would never buy a new car that had that.
The best way to keep your Kia from being stolen is to not have a Kia.

I guess a lot of people are having problems with water pumps on some newer vehicles. Class action lawsuit on the Audi and Volkswagen. Bimmer ones seem to have plenty of issues as well. Some of these newer cars have the primary water pump and then up to 4 secondary pumps? The only way I would even think about owning one of these cars was if I was going to lease it and trade it in before it got any actual miles accumulated.
