I like it. It will let lots of air through.

Dammit, to this day, my old Baja Bug ranks as one of the most all-out fun vehicles I've ever owned... great times in the AZ deserts as a long-haired Youth In Revolt! :headbang

:cheers

No baja, I sold that a few years ago. Thats my old rally car, it does have a one piece fiberglass front end! Lots of other upgrades! My first car was a baja, fun cars to have!

Thanks-- yeah, some didn't want to cut the body, so they just did a body lift kit-- basically, a 2-3" spacer that went between pan and body. Add your long-travel suspension, your cage, and you're good to go.

In case anyone's following my approach, here's a pic of all the mods I made to the support wings. Note where I had to open up the upper-right corner of one of those holes - there was a conflict there with the side markers, with the way I'm bringing the cover in so close to the body.

Cross-posting the Jetta bumper stuff here as well....

1/8" aluminum plate glued to Jetta bumper ends to provide a more robust material for fastening. The existing holes would have pulled out in short order if I just relied on those...

Vote 1 to put this in the FAQ.

Yes, the reason i re-read it is i just acquired a vw bumper in trade for a quick welding project...
