Pulled into my driveway at 6PM, never touching the brake pedal from Carlisle Springs to Sloatsburg NY. Drove like a defensive "Nancy", the likes of which I've never done, afraid of loosing the other front caliper. A 2-legged dog just won't hunt.

What a weekend!

Hey all,
we all got home safe, no broken gears this time, haahaa.
Peter Orlinski did get stuck, his tranny went on the truck!!!
So, he's in the process of towing/fixing and getting a good night sleep at a hotel near by.

Got home around 9pm. Paul and Andrew West and myself stopped for dinner in Allentown. Our 3-car mini convoy got lots of stares from the locals as we drove around looking for the Brewpub. Car ran great. No overheating at all.
An almost perfect weekend.

Seized up very suddenly on the way back to the hotel Friday. It's also possible that the old flex-line collapsed, creating a check-valve. Fortunately, we had a 3-car mini convoy of Paul, Scott, and myself, so we worked as a team to get the caliper off and the inner pad removed. Then we limped back to the hotel using only the parking brake. That night after dinner, with some help from Don Sweigart and others, I got the piston retracted enough to get everything back in place, and then I vise-gripped the line closed, so I'd at least have one front caliper in action.

I considered going through the motions of trying to find a caliper and line at one of the local parts houses, but I figured it would be a futile effort and just didn't bother. Frankly, that's reason enough for going with the Mustang/T-Bird/Contour brakes - much, much higher odds of finding them on the shelf, should the need arise. I just didn't have time for any sort of upgrades on this thing. Brakes have now moved to the top of the list.
