Hotel Reservation Info

Post by DPDISXR4Ti »

For 2010, we return to the ever-popular Radisson in Camp Hill PA (http://www.radisson.com/camphillpa), just outside of Harrisburg.

Discounted room rates are un-changed from last year as follows:
$109 Single or Double
$119 Triple
$129 Quad

To book a room at the group rate, you must specify that you are with the Merkur Club of America. Reservations must be called in using either of the following numbers:
1.717.763.7117 Hotel
1.800.333.3333 World-wide Reservations
(Note: There is no on-line option to make a reservation at the group-rate)

The typical Friday arrival, Sunday morning departure would involve a 2-night reservation of June 4 and 5 (departing Sunday morning, June 6th). You may arrive a day early or stay a day late at the group rate. Increasingly, many of us arrive on Thursday (June 3), and get a full day at the show on Friday.

I just made my reservation via the 800#, and had my confirmation details e-mailed within 5 minutes. It is highly likely that with our big attendance numbers this year, the hotel will be sold out. Make your reservation now; tomorrow may be too late.

I'll check in with the hotel next week and see. I reserved extra rooms this year, but with registrations 80% ahead of last year, it is possible that we'll book the hotel like we did in 2005.

Yea, I heard that just last night - I'll investigate on Monday and report back.

Wouldn't surprise me. We have been warning everyone since February and with the car reservations 80% up on last year at this time, it's going to be a big show.

Now's the time we find out how close the Merkur community really is. Who is willing to share with who!

Okay, I've just pulled some rooms from another group and gotten them reassigned for us. Book your damn rooms NOW!

Also, if by any chance you need to cancel your room, please do it now, not later. I see a couple people have multiple rooms reserved - that's fine if you'll actually be using them - not cool to cancel the day before and perhaps convince someone to stay home because they can't get a room.

Yep, was just on with the hotel a few minutes ago. We're trying to get some more rooms - I'll post more once I have an update. Or, just keep phoning the hotel back.

Another batch of 10 rooms has been allocated to our group. This may be the last ones I am able to "steal" so book your room now or you may be sleeping in your car.

I just reserved a room. They still have them available, at least mine was, I guess.

1 thing down, another 100 to go.
