for those who dont live too far, it would be nice if i wasnt the only merkur. plus you could enjoy the fun or seeing honda rice boys walk up to your car, look at the front with a ford tempo look on their face until they see the bi-wing and say what the hell is this car. oh and when an srt-4 pulls in behind you and everyone is watching it pull into a parking spot and everyone looks confused when the only car driving around the parking lot is mine but they still hear a turbo after the srt-4 shuts off(no i dont rev it to show off, im not like that, but i have a muffler delete pipe so my turbo screams even when i tap on the gas in a parking lot). and a bunch of other things that amuse me. anyway, its at quaker steak and lube in valley view. right by the movie theater. people start showing up around 7-9ish and stay till about midnight every saturday. and if youre into it, sometimes the cleveland racing club meets there and leaves at about 1am to go to a various street racing spot. i went with them one time when i had my subaru and they are by far the most organized street racers i have ever seen. my dumbass did a lot of it when i lived in fl and now i think back wondering what kind of idiot i was and how i didnt end up in jail or dead. but these cleveland racing club guys are really organized. 3 cars with state of the art scanners(one of their dads is a police chief), road closed signs carried in one car and another car for stake-out(i guess they rotate on that one). they go to a few locations in cleveland, mostly abandoned rail road stations in industrial parks, and i didnt find out where but another one in medina. and these arent your average hondas with fart cans either, when i went with them the one time, the slowest car out there ran mid 13's (at the track). these guys arent FNF wannabees. they just love the thrill. obviously i didnt race when i went, i just spectated. they also have a whole array of cars and people that go too. from 16 yr olds whos daddy bought them an sti all the way to guys in their 60's with old chevelles, camaros, ect.
anyway, thats just if your into a fun adventure for after the meet. its quite amazing to watch them though.
so who wants to join me at the meet on saturdays, anyone?
btw, this is not a ricer meet. it started as a group called forced 4's. mostly subarus. then word got around to the ricers. so there are nice cars there, but ricers too. and forced 4's still sponsors it. they usually have a big tent setup on one side with their logo on it. i know a few of the members from when i had my subaru.
