Just curious: I thought all '89's got the mesh wheels. My '88.5 had them. Are these 'spats' original with this car?

The mesh wheels are in boxes in my basement.
They're in excellent condition, but IMO they don't look that great and they're a pain in the butt to clean.

I bought the spats from Craig Madsen a few years ago. He was going to take them to Carlisle, but I headed him off at the pass.
They had just been refurbished and had not been back on a car, basically NOS. There's not a scratch on 'em and the center caps are also perfect.
Everyone that saw it after I changed the wheels thought the new wheels looked way better.

Unbelievable deal on custom flags at Bestofsigns.com right now... 2 x 3 flag for $20.70 shipped. How they make any money at that price... ???
That's less than half of what the MCA flag cost, so I pulled the trigger.

Just five weeks until my car is back. :headbang
The actual item has arrived and it looks good! :thumb

Now THAT'S kissin' the corporate butt.
They have given $750 to my other club's charities the last 3 years.
I figure I could give 'em something just a little bit bigger than a logo on the sleeve of our car show shirts.

My Chevy Cruze Diesel is holding down MegaPole.
My Merkur is still trapped in storage at the Rock Island County Fairgrounds until at least May 2 per government orders.
I'm actually optimistic the it will escape on that day. If it does, I have a cruise in on May 9. A quick oil change and I'm ready to go.

FYI... that picture was taken with a $60 Samsung Galaxy S5 that I just got.
That's the best flag picture yet, even better than the professionally taken ones. You can see every wrinkle.

IMO, that is the "peak phone" for someone who wants a cheap phone that works.
You can replace the battery, I have an awesome "S-View" case and my Tello plan is $10.50 a month.

It does escape tomorrow! :headbang
No cruise ins or car shows and don't expect any. My other club's strategy is to actually cruise. :applause
A routine service next Wednesday and we're off! Depending on how much cruisin' we do, I may end up driving more, not less.

No MegaPole or flags, probably all year. Our cruises are closed events and when we park we want to maintain as low a profile as possible.
We're distancing and visitors might get a liitle closer than we'd like. Can't count on them behaving.

There will also be some birthday drive bys... a couple are already scheduled.
Our cars are just little more interesting than the stuff that usually drives by.

I think these birthday cruises are going to be a frequent thing for now.
I've got one tomorrow that hits two birthdays and another one Sunday.
I believe the above photos are the first ever taken when the car was actually moving, so that's cool. :applause
