XR4TI Engine Swap - Twin Turbo 5.0 DONE!

Post by Fm3kc »

Finally completed the engine swap for my 1985 Merkur XR4Ti. The car now has a 5 L twin turbo engine.

I don't think you've got the URL quite right for the images, but this link should take readers to the album. They're not full-sized, but better than nothing.

Thanks for your help

The engine is out of a 1987 Mustang. Currently has an AOD trans (easier to install). T5 WC in the next month or so. Installed a 25hp Nitrous shot to keep intake temps down since there wasn't a lot of room for an intercooler. The ECU is a Holley Terminator X. Car is fun to drive, especially when walking a late model Corvette or Porsche

Yes, AC works. Had to swap out the pully. The Holley Terminator X has an AC WOT signal wire so it matches up well.
