Hi all,

I think you will find this interesting for old or new engines.

Ford recommended 5W30 for engines of XR4Ti and Scorpio manufacture dates.

YMMV

Hi all,

I posted the video for the overall info about oil quality, viscosity differences and engine wear factors. Good info.

I ran 15w-40w Mobil 1 in the '80's and then switched to either 10w-30 or 40 with Mobil 1 or Castrol Synthetic for a long time. I now use QS 5w-30 Synthetic in all my cars.

If good oil and excellent oil are about the same price then why choose merely good, eh?

Cheers

I read the transcript (word for word).

Informative presentation, yes.

He notes more than once that following manufacturers' recommendations for motor oil is good advice.

YMMV

I'm gonna get some of that new 0w8 oil and use that. It should help the mpg.
